Allied Sales and Support Coordinator Auburn, ME

The candidate will work well as part of a team, consisting of Department Manager, Outside Sales Staff, Internal staff and Vendors to ensure a high level of customer service and customer retention. The Allied Sales Associate will assist in sales efforts through product and vendor research, preparation of quotes, completion of orders and order tracking.  The Allied Sales Coordinator will follow-up with sales staff, vendors and customers, on all open transactions. This position will require extensive use of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Navision. The ideal applicant will have a high level of computer ability and be motivated to work as part of a team to increase sales and meet goals.

Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Take inbound customer calls
  • Daily quoting of Allied Equipment for Sales Staff internal and external
  • Work with customer in person or via calls to assist with their inquiries, order placement, or making referrals to sales person in their territory for follow up assistance
  • Work with outside sales staff and support their requests for information, quotes, order status, etc
  • Continued development of product knowledge and understanding to support sales efforts
  • Identify and work with management to resolve customer concerns
  • Work to achieve sales goals
  • ERP System Responsibilities: Purchasing Document Processing -Supporting documentation, Customer Invoicing Document Processing, and Monthly Reconciliation
  • Process Allied Sales Credit Card Transactions
  • Assist in Department as needed with Marketing/Promotional items preparing, distribution, inventory counts, etc.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous sales experience at least 2 years is a must
  • Customer Service skills, working in detail with customers, vendor, and other WDM staff
  • Excellent communication skills, with great attention to details
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings
  • A positive attitude, self-motivation and willingness to learn
  • Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office is mandatory, especially Excel
  • Build a strong knowledge base of items commonly sold through Allied Sales, conduct research and speak with vendors to understand specific product attributes
  • Ability to maintain, understand and present concise reporting on sales effort
 

Equipment Mechanic / Road Service Technician Saint Johnsbury, VT

The Equipment Mechanic / Road Service Technician is responsible for timely repair to forklifts and various other equipment at various customer locations. The equipment a Road Service Technician is expected to maintain or repair includes, but is not limited to, gas, diesel, propane and electric powered forklifts as well as aerial lift and man-lift equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare equipment records and report both manually and on a computer
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light, medium, and heavy duty equipment
  • Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  • Inspect and perform work on the under parts of equipment
  • Access any area of the equipment to perform necessary maintenance
  • Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on equipment
  • Interact with clients through both email or phone as necessary
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 2 years experience performing vehicle/equipment maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
  • Must have valid Drivers License- Class C
  • Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
  • Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
  • Must provide some small tools, tool allowance provided after 1 year of service

Service Technician Mechanic Concord, NH

WD Matthews Machinery Co. one of the New England’s most trusted providers of material handling and construction equipment, is looking to hire a shop service technician to work in the Concord, NH area.

Shop Service Technicians are responsible for the maintenance and repair of gas, diesel, propane and electric powered material handling equipment as well as aerial lift and man lift equipment located at customer locations across the region. To be considered, an applicant should have mechanical experience or possess related skills and formal technical training. Forklift repair experience is very desirable, but we also seek candidates with mechanical repair experience in a variety of areas.

The physical requirements include: lifting and carrying a toolbox weighting approximately 50 lbs+, bending, climbing and working under equipment.

The applicant must pass a pre-employment physical prior to being hired.

Forklift repair experience desired.
